FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
πΏ About the Plants
Q: Are your plants tissue culture (TC) or grown in water?
A: All plants are fully aquatic and grown submerged in water β not tissue culture. This means they are already adapted to aquarium life and require no transition period.
Q: Are the plants pest and disease free?
A: Yes. Every plant is inspected before packing. We do not use pesticides on any of our plants, making them safe for shrimp and sensitive fish.
Q: Will the plants look exactly like the photos?
A: The photos show representative specimens. Colours and size may vary slightly depending on the plant's current growth stage and your lighting. Bucephalandra in particular develops its most vibrant colours over time as it settles in your tank.
Q: What size will I receive?
A: Unless otherwise stated, Bucephalandra and Anubias rhizomes come with at least 5β7 leaves. Mother pots are more mature specimens with established root systems.
π¦ Shipping & Orders
Q: How fast do you ship?
A: Orders are processed and shipped within 1β2 business days, MondayβFriday. You'll receive a tracking number by email.
Q: Do you ship in extreme weather?
A: We use heat packs or cold packs when needed. In extreme conditions (below 20Β°F or above 100Β°F) we may hold your shipment and notify you β plant safety comes first.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Currently we ship within the United States only.
Q: My order hasn't arrived β what do I do?
A: Check your tracking link first. If it shows delivered but you haven't received it, check with neighbours and your local post office. If there's still an issue, contact us and we'll help resolve it.
β Live Arrival Guarantee
Q: What if my plants arrive dead?
A: Take clear photos within 24 hours of the delivery scan and contact us via the Contact page. We'll issue a full replacement or refund promptly.
Q: Some leaves are yellowing β is that covered?
A: Minor yellowing or leaf melt during transit is normal and the plant will recover. This is not covered under the DOA policy. If the majority of the plant is dead on arrival, that is covered.
π Care & Compatibility
Q: Are your plants safe for shrimp and snails?
A: Yes β all our plants are 100% shrimp, snail, and fish safe. We never use copper-based pesticides.
Q: I'm a beginner β where should I start?
A: Anubias Nana Petite is the perfect beginner plant β nearly indestructible, beautiful, and shrimp safe. For something rarer, try a 5-pack of random Bucephalandra.
Q: Do I need COβ for these plants?
A: No. All our plants grow well in low-tech tanks without COβ injection. COβ will enhance colour and growth speed, but it's entirely optional.
